I blog over at C.R.A.F.T., it’s a nifty little acronym for Creating Really Awesome Free Things. I ‘m super excited to guest post today on Think Crafts! I have a fun spring time craft that is sure to keep the kiddos busy for at least half an hour. The best part is you probably have all of the materials in your cabinets right now…
For the dot painting you will need:
  • Note card
  • Q-Tips
  • Paint
  • Pencil
  • Newspaper

Here’s how you do it:
  1. Use a pencil to draw a simple picture
  2. Use Q-Tip to begin dotting in the lines
  3. Change q-tips when you change colors
In 30 minutes or less… you have a lovely little dot painting! Be sure and ask your kids if they’ve ever heard of pointillism. That’s sure to inspire a few questions and have a little teaching moment!
