In march. It was a 4 hour each way when we went away for the weekend, but we are starting a new one tomorrow. Happy Road tripping everyone.

Last October we went to the Outer Banks in NC. We flew from RI to MD and then drove from MD to NC with my cousin and her husband! Great Trip. My next road trip–July 29th!! woohoo

November 2008 was the last time my husband and I hit the road. He indulged my whim of wanting to knock three states off of my list. Sadly he passed away four months later and I haven’t been on the road since.

The first part of June we went to Bismarck to help our daughter with our four wonderful grandchildren while her husband was out of town for work. It’s about 4 1/2 hours each way. We plan to go in early Aug to accompany them into MN. I travel about 1000 miles a month for my work – but I’m usually home every night.

  16. Marissa

  17. Terri Pockette

About a month ago, me and my family all rented a van and drove from Arizona all the way up to northern California to visit our grandparents.

Last week…I usually take monthly road trips since most “good” craft/fabric/art supply stores are a ways away from where I am. My road trips usually end up being a full “day trip” with lots of retail therapy!

  21. judy

We went on the worlds longest yard sale last year! What great fun! We saw everything, trash and treasure!

  22. Carmen

If you don’t count “short” road trips (~1 hr away), then my last roadtrip was a yarn shop hop about a month ago. We left the house at 8am and didn’t get back until 5pm. Since we’re in a sparsely populated area, the furthest shop was about 3 hours away. We had a great time, but I’m not sure I’d do it again.

We tried to find releif from the Ohio Heat Wave last week and drove up to Shipshewana, IN for 3 nights in a B & B – the weather wasn’t much better but the scenary and food was great! And of course I found a great Scrapbook store along the way! 🙂

Touring the state of Delaware. My hubs kept harassing his sister that Delaware was so small and she threatened a full state tour on our visit. We toured half of it and loved it!! Especially New Castle and Rehoboth Beach.

  25. Joyce

I’m not counting the trips to visit relatives. The last road trip was to Branson, MO last summer. Actually, there were relatives involved, my sister lives in the area. And we also were able to see our son and his wife for a day as they were traveling back to Dallas. We saw many fun shows and attractions even though the temps were in the 100’s. It was a great trip. Normally we would fly but we drove from Minnesota and enjoyed the journey.

  26. Karee Steinhauser

Right now. We are riding in a RV from Oregon to Idaho back through Montana and into Idaho again. And tomorrow headed to Yellowstone and then back home again..

Our last road trip was for the 4th of July and my sons doc appointment in madera childrens hospital. After we did his doc appointment we went to one of our favorite places in Fresno for lunch Poppolos pizza then went to a bead place called Bella bead were I paid far to much $ for chain & findings. We went to Michaels to pick up some scrapbook paper & some funstamps. I like to visit Fresno because our family is there & all is familiar.

My last road trip was a 4.5 hour nightmare trip across the top of Toronto…..but the trip ws so worth it to be at the family cottage and going for a swim!

  31. Francineb

My last roadtrip was in June when me, another adult, and 16 boys went to Boy Scout Summer Camp in another state. We had a great time despite the heat and a couple of visits to the health lodge.

  32. Carrie

My last road trip was about a year ago. Tooks the kids to Hampton Beach. We’re doing it again this year too!

  33. Amy Jones #8546

My last road trip was 2 years ago going from TN to CA to visit my family with my 2 kids. 3 and 1/2 days to get there driving all day long with few stops in between…well except to view the big cross in Texas which is so neat to not stop at and bathroom and hotel breaks. Alot of driving for one person but manageable if you keep on trucking. LOL Because the prize is at the end seeing your family and enjoying new memories.

  34. Margaret

It’s been several years since my last road trip. I went with my cousin to the state fair in Sacramento.

  35. Virginia O.

My last roadtrip, a short one, about 30 miles each way, was about a month ago with my daughter. We were going to visit a Scrapbook store we liked and after driving there found out it is no longer there. We did have fun anyway just driving around and enjoying a beautiful day.

  36. Melissa

Does traveling 2-3hrs to visit family for thanksgiving count? :o)if not i guess it would be two years ago to meet my sister and her family in the most magical place in the world! gotta love a non stop drive from Tx all the way to Fl

  37. Jusa

Monday. To a national park. One last, albeit short, trip with DS, who was home from college for ever such a short visit. Very hot, but we could have gone anywhere and done anything and I would have been smiling just to spend time with him. Not sure how you define road trip, but it did take a bit of time to get there.

However on the way home it wanted me to get off at Baltimore, MD I knew this was wrong so I kept driving and then I had 3 GPS’s yelling at me turn around, rerouting I knew I wanted Cumberland
