Background dies make it so easy to create multiple cards in one sitting. For today’s project, I’m using the wonderfully modern Retro Repeats die set from Sizzix to put together some quick thank you cards.

Foiling is such a fun way to add elegance to your card designs. For today’s project I decided to add some golden glam to this Sizzix Framelits Card Drop In Thank You die. The great thing about this die is it pretty much does all the work for you. You just add the special touches. I’ll be using some gold foil along with some vellum and iCraft Deco Foil Adhesive Foam.

Q: Can I use only the company’s dies that are the same brand as my die cut machine or can I use others?
A: As long as you follow your instructions from the manufacturer of your die cut machine and the plate stacks that they recommend you will be able to use other dies in your machine. Each type of die will require a different plate stack and some may require the purchase of specific plates so be sure to check first so you don’t cause damage to your machine.
