I’m especially excited to decorate for the holidays this year because my husband and I are moving into our first house this week and hosting family and friends for Christmas! Things have been a bit hectic as you can imagine, but holiday crafting is still a pretty big priority since we’ll have company arriving in just nine days. I’m sharing some of my favorite holiday crafts to inspire you to make your home extra special this holiday season.
This layered canvas wreath is one of my all time favorite holiday wreaths. I made a similar one last year as a present for my sister using leftover scraps of card stock and blue and brown felt – because I didn’t have canvas on hand at the time. I just love all the colors and buttons.
Bring some old-fashioned charm to your Christmas tree this year with this homespun beauty. Make a new Christmas tradition by creating an angel topper of your very own that you’re proud to display year after year.
Halloween is fast approaching and it’s time to start putting out the first of the decorations for the year. Greet your guests or the trick-or- treaters this year with a fun Halloween themed banner. It’s made even spookier with this great paper from Carta Bella!
This ribbon dancer is both fun and safe. My daughter loves to twirl while the ribbons spin around her. When these are usually made they are on sticks, and it’s never a good idea to run or twirl with sticks. I used a wooden ring which work great for little hands to hold and are safe for play.
This little project is a great idea for any driver in your life. A loop to hold on to or slip over your wrist is one of the easy ways to carry your keys. This could be a great party favor for a Sweet Sixteen party with all of the new drivers in attendance or a even a great project to make for the Dad that has everything.
There are many great ways to display your special photos. Albums are nice to keep them all together and organized, but sometimes you’d just like to have a few of your favorites to sit on your desk or share with someone special. This is where a circular photo flip up book is especially nice. It allows you to have those special photos with you wherever you go.
