Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Create this beautiful wall art as a quick and easy way to share a little love.
When we take our little ones on nature walks we always point out and name the flowers we see and you would be amazed at how quickly even toddlers remember the names of a variety of flowers. There’s nothing cuter than hearing a 1 year old correctly identify and say the word ‘Hydrangea!’ Here are some awesome flower crafts we can make at home using a variety of supplies we have on hand.
Peonies are my favorite flowers from our garden. The only thing I don’t like about Peonies is how quickly they bloom and drop their petals. Here’s a tutorial for how to make lasting tissue paper peonies in all of your favorite colors.
It blows my mind that paper flowers have become so realistic lately. Using tissue paper and crepe paper can really take a flower DIY to the next level and mimic real petals. There are so many different ways to create your own paper flowers to use in a wedding, decorate your home, or save on decor for any occasion.
The moment I saw this craft, I knew I had to make my own coffee filter flowers. The tutorial is so easy, and they really do look real! I used watercolors on mine, and love how they turned out. Even kids can create their own!

I have always been envious of those who can wrap and decorate their Christmas gifts like an expert. To me, the most exciting part of the holiday season is picking out, buying, and wrapping Christmas gifts, even though I’m sort of terrible at it. I get all excited at the concept of giving someone a beautifully wrapped present with something that they will love inside, but then I go for it and when I’m done, I’m pretty disappointed by the lack of holiday magic I feel when looking at them. It probably doesn’t help that I’m too cheap to buy nice wrapping paper.
As summer sets in and the heat seems unrelenting, I am finding myself disregarding good hair days in an attempt to keep cooler. Long hair on a hot summer day often means a very sweaty head and rather than subject myself to the heat, my hair ends up in some sort of up-do. As someone who struggles finding the perfect balance between fashion and function I can say that DIY Summer Headbands make this a much easier task. As a current trend, DIY headbands are perfect for the summer season. Stay cute on the beach and accessorize your top-knot with these great ideas!

Who doesn’t love embellishments? Whenever I finish a big project like creating a scrapbook album gift for Mother’s Day or one of my niece’s first year albums I like to take a break from involved projects and just make embellishments for fun and of course to have ready for future projects. For this last week of May I’d like to share some favorite scrappy embellishment tutorials I’ve been following.
Gather those leftover scraps of pretty paper, varied buttons and rhinestones/sequins floating around in your scrapbooking drawer to make some unforgettable scrappy embellishments!
