Banners and Buntings

I have a confession to make. I have a bunting problem or maybe a banner problem. Or it could be a garland problem. Honestly, it’s probably all of them. I love them. They are fun and generally easy to make and there are SO MANY KINDS. I’ve made a lot of banners, buntings and garlands over the years. We have fall themed banners and Christmas buntings and springy banners and kid themed and pom poms and, seriously. I have a problem. And now I’m going to give that problem to you! Check out all these banner and buntings. So many possibilities! You could probably have one for each room!

GIANT FRINGE GARLAND

These big fluffy crepe paper garlands are so fun! I’m dying to string them across my daughters bedrooms in all sorts of shades of pink (of course, I’d have to take down the banners that are already there… but you know, that could be done. The more the merrier!)

ZIG ZAG ACCORDION STREAMERS

These crazy paper streamer buntings are festive and would be super quick to make for a party (or just…dinner, because that could be fun!) I love all the colors and the lightness, but also the way they fill up the space and turn a plain wall into something fabulous.

Crochet Christmas Light Garland

Holidays always offer a great excuse for a new banner or bunting. This Christmas light banner would be adorable wrapped around a tree, bright lights even in the day. And the colorful felt leaves in this fall garland are beautiful, I love them!

FALL LEAVES GARLAND

Be sure to check out our Craft Trends Boards for more banners and buntings and send us pictures of the ones you create!

The Lone Ranger

Adhesive Tech Glue Gun Standard Low Temp

There’s only one sheriff in this town and that’s me… Occasionally there are competitors that try to take me on with a quick draw craft challenge but with my insulated nozzle, comfortable grip and 5 foot electrical cord those poor cowboys didn’t have a chance. I’m a mean and lean glue gun machine and there’s not a surface that I wouldn’t challenge. If you are ready to cowboy up and take me for a spin I will show you how useful I can be.

Comic Book Earrings

Craft Trends, Crafts, Jewelry Making, Techniques and Mediums No Comments

By Paper Crafts Contributor, Lauren Romano.

If you’re a huge fan of comics, why shouldn’t you make them part of your wardrobe? Of course you can showcase the designs on shirts, but it would be much more interesting to wear them as jewelry. These comic book earrings are easy to make and would add a unique touch to your outfit.

What you’ll need:

Step 1. Choose comic book pictures that you want to use as designs for your earrings.

Step 2. Using Mod Podge, attach the images to cardstock, then carefully flatten them down removing all the air bubbles.

Step 3. Put Mod Podge over the front of the images as a sealant. Try to do it as quick as possible so as to not leave fingerprint marks in the glue.

Step 4. After the earrings dry, use the circle punch to cut out two circles.

Step 5. Use the small hole punch to make a small hole at the top of each circle.

Step 6. Use the needle nose pliers to slightly pry open the jump rings, then loop one through each hole.

Step 7. Loop the end of an earring hook through each jump ring, then use the needle nose pliers to close the jump rings.

CreateForLess 11 Year Anniversary – A Special Thank You to our Customers

Crafts 3 Comments

August marks the 11th Anniversary of CreateForLess!  We started CreateForLess 11 years ago, with just 3 employees, and an idea to offer bulk quantities and discount prices at our internet craft store.  Our goal was from the beginning and still is today, to use the power of the internet to bring together craft enthusiasts, and build a virtual craft supply warehouse that everyone can have access to. We have continued to grow our business over the years and are excited about the future as well.

We want to send our sincerest thank you to our wonderful customers, some who have been with us for many years, we couldn’t have made it to 11 years without your support of our business. Listening to our customers has always been a top priority, and your comments and suggestions have truly helped us improve our website. One of our most exciting changes this year was a complete re-design of CreateForLess.com. We updated the look and functions of the site, as well as adding single item pricing and additional discounts for bulk quantities. We also added PayPal, Pinterest and even more exciting changes coming soon.  2012 has been a busy year for the CreateForLess Crew!

Thank you for a great year and we look forward to serving you for many more years to come!

Sincerely,

Dennis
