Halloween Treat Tags

I love making tags almost as much as cards.  They’re quick to make and you can still use all your fun scrapbook and stamping supplies—just on a smaller scale!  Halloween is always a fun time for tags because of all the fun candy treats you can attach them to.  In today’s post I show you ways to use up those piles of “googly” eyes you may have hiding in your craft room.  I know I have a ton and they seem to multiply.

Same Stamp, New Season

When you see a floral themed stamp set, do you usually think spring and summer?  I know I do!  I love getting out bright markers or paints and creating bold blooms that “pop” against white card stock, but there’s no reason to tuck those floral stamps away when the cool, Fall air hits.  My project today shows how to bring a floral stamp you might have a tendency to use for more bright and Summer-y cards into Fall.

A Masculine Birthday Card

As a card maker, I am drawn to bright, cheerful colors.  Mostly white card bases with pops of pinks, mint and soft yellows.  There are times though, when I need to make a masculine-style card.  This is where the richer colors come in with some darker accents.  For today’s project, I’m using a background die from Avery Elle called Waves for a quick and easy masculine birthday card.  Balloons from Avery Elle’s Balloons stamp set are heat embossed with rich colors that complement the neutral background.

Christmas in July

Even though the holidays are months away, it’s never too early to think about what kind of cards you would like to send out.  If you are planning on making your own cards, you want them to be quick and easy to recreate.   My project today uses only paper punches and your favorite paper for a modern and fun twist on the traditional Christmas card.
