Ladybug Plant Marker

Ladybug Plant Marker

Ladybug plant markers are a cute way to mark the plants in your garden. These simple markers are fast and easy to make for even the littlest of children. We made ours by using permanent markers but paint can also be used. This is a way to get kids interested in crafts and gardening this summer.

Feather Imprint Pendant

By Kid’s Crafts Contributor Stephanie, from the Blog A Geek in Glasses.

Create a clay pendant with a feather imprint using natural leaves!

This is a fun project using nature. Create a unique pendant using a polymer clay and leaf of sage. It’s fun for kids to use one item to make it look like another. Using the backside of a sage leaf to press into the clay creates a feather-like imprint.

Peg Dolls

Little girls can make these cute play dolls on a summer afternoon. Use wooden peg figures to create a playset of tiny dolls that can be played with time and time again. I like to paint simple eyes on the little dolls with no mouth, this leaves the dolls open to be played with in any situation and they can have any emotion the child wants. It leaves more to the imagination and leads to more creative play.

DIY Drink Stirrers

Summer is full of parties and special drinks. These drink stirrers can be a great addition to any party décor. By making your own, you can add the gem or bling that best matches the party theme. Even kids like fun stirrers for their punch, so the toppers could be plastic animals or lego people.

Ribbon Dancer

By Kid’s Crafts Contributor Stephanie, from the Blog A Geek in Glasses.

DIY Ribbon Dancer

This ribbon dancer is both fun and safe. My daughter loves to twirl while the ribbons spin around her. When these are usually made they are on sticks, and it’s never a good idea to run or twirl with sticks. I used a wooden ring which work great for little hands to hold and are safe for play.

DIY Burlap Placemat

Burlap is the latest craze in home interior. This is a simple project that the kids can help with this summer.  They are cool enough for use inside or can really make a classy addition to a picnic table. Stamp on silly messages or serious ones, that’s up to you. Let each person make their own before a family reunion! How fun would that be??
