Board games are for those who are bored! Card games are lame, just like you asking the same questions over and over. Get creative, ask some new ones.

I think it is great! I am 80 years young, my sister (5 years older) made all of my doll clothes! I didn’t start sewing until I was in high school. I took every sewing class available, entered contest, did sewing for my teacher. it was really fun and I never stopped sewing, I have continued into all types of craft projects. We have two adult sons, and they both learned as children until they moved out, I made sure that they learned the art of clean, do laundry, cooking, baking and sew. They both are very good at it all and really enjoy sewing and other crafts of all kinds. They have not found their sole mate yet, and are very glad they knew how to do for themselves when they moved into their own homes.

I don’t play a lot of board games, mostly with grandchildren. The go-to game is usually Monopoly. I have never been a fan of card games. Mostly I stick to my crafting.

Our choices have changed over the years as our family grow, and aged! Monopoly, checkers, rummy, Depending on who is home, I am at Solitaire at this time. My husband had a stroke and is unable to play, which is really sad as we enjoyed the board games and cards so much.

Gin rummy always remains my favorite card game. As far as board games I think sorry is a favorite.

Rook & Spades are 2 of my favorite games. There are 7 children in my family. We have had as many as 6 tables of Rook and/or spades going on the holiday’s. Lots of fun with the family and it brings back a lot of memories.

I love playing Hand & Foot which is a card game using one deck per person. Each person has two files of eleven & has to get through one prior to starting the second one. It takes a while to play the entire game depending on how many people play (can be 2 to 10). It’s a lot of fun and my family loves it too!

My all time favorite board game is Scrabble but I have another favorite game. I’m 70 and when I was little my grandmother taught me to play Jacks – I think that’s what to call it. (It’s played with a little red rubber ball that you toss in the air and quickly scramble to pick up a designated number of metal jacks before the ball hits the table.)
She played it as a child and I hope to pass it on to my grandchildren. Thanks for the question – it brings back happy memories.

Thank you for running this giveaway. Our favorite board game is a toss-up between Monopoly and Scrabble. and our favorite card game is solitary.

My favorite card game is Uno. I just recently found that they made a few fun spinoff games called Uno Dare and Dos which are also a lot of fun. My favorite board game is Sorry. You can be so close to winning and then be sent back to start and end up losing. So much fun!

My favorite card game is canasta. Fond memories of aunts, mom and grandma gathered. Now that 4 generations of women live here, ages 14 to 92, we have happy memories to mull over during COVID-19. Happy memories to you.

Right now my favorite is Rummikub. However growing up it was Yahtzee as my grandma loved to play games and this was one game I could play with her. Later, when I was a young adult she taught me cribbage.

My family likes to play board games when we get together. We have been known to carry our games across the states to play! I think our favorites are all kinds of trivia games or guessing games. We love to laugh at each other!

  15. Dianne G.

Settlers of Catan is my favorite board game. It is the game all my children and grandchildren always played when we got together so those memories make it special to me. It has been far too long since we have been able to get together due to restrictions and closed borders.I can’t wait until we can all get together and play it again.

Tough question at this time! This past year, we have played lots of games with the grandkids . . . the latest being Clue, Aggravation and a few different versions of UNO.

Pinochle is my favorite card game. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any good online sites, since my group can’t get together during the pandemic. I haven’t played a board game in years, probably decades. Y’all are making me feel old.

Reading all the comments brings back such nice memories.of all the games that are out there. Some I’ve played and others I’ve heard of and always wanted to learn. We still play monopoly but use the cards to play….aka Monopoly Deal.

My favorite game is Letchworth Park Monopoly. This is a specialty version about our local State Park. Our family has done virtual sessions through Zoom. We each log in from our own home. We each have our own copy of the game and we set up just like we were in same room. We pick our tokens. I only keep my token on the board cause I get confused otherwise. My kids put all tokens on board and move accordingly. When money needs to change hands we put in and take out of bank depending on whether we are paying or receiving. If the game goes too long we set an ending time and count out then and declare a winner.
