I love adding cheerful clouds onto my cards.  Whether it’s stenciling or die cuts, they always add a whimsical touch.

For today’s card, I used the Cloud Mat die from Avery Elle to add fluffy clouds to the background of my greeting.  This die is so versatile.  You could use it as a stencil, a coverplate, or, just use the cloud cut-outs and frame, which I’m doing today.

To start, I die cut the die into some white card stock.

I then turned the die cut over (intact) and added a layer of repositionable tape over the back.

After adding the die cut to the front of a note card I made from some light blue card stock, I carefully peeled off the excess card stock and frame leaving the clouds.

I made a little hill by blending some Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink onto a die cut oval.

I then trimmed it in half and adhered it to my card below the clouds.  I removed a few clouds and set them aside to make room for the hill.  During this time, I also added the frame from the die cut over the entire scene using thin strips of Scotch Foam Tape.

I added a sentiment from Avery Elle’s Banner Bits to the hill and then added a little Panda from the Mama Elephant Panda stamp set.  I then secured the clouds to the card using foam squares and layered some of the extra clouds I had over the tops of the others.

A sweet and cheerful greeting that’s perfect for a friend or loved one!  Thanks so much for joining me today!
