It’s hard to believe it’s that time of year again.  Back to school!

Whether at home or back in the building, our kiddos can always use lots of encouragement.  These stamps from Doodlebug called School Boy and School Girl are full of great school-themed images.

I wasn’t sure which ones I wanted to use, so I stamped a bunch onto some white card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  A stamp platform is great for this, because you can line up all the stamps at once.   Once stamped, I used alcohol markers to color everything in.

Next, I took a white notecard and taped off a stripe using some Post-It tape.  I added some ink blending using Lucky Clover Distress Oxide ink and then peeled away the tape to reveal a stripe.

This simple stripe is where all the cute little stamped elements will go.

After cutting all my images out, I added them along the green stripe making one card for a boy and one for a girl.

I used foam squares on some of the images to add dimension.

Thanks so much for joining me today and here’s to a great school year!
