There are a lot of fun things to do in the summer. My favorite thing that I have been doing since I was a kid is fishing and crabbing on my Mom’s pier. It is so peaceful and so much fun. Extra bonus is you get to see all kinds of different critters on the waterfront.

  2. Kathy Sepanski

Sitting on the back porch and enjoying the sun and listening to a good book!! Sewing in the morning while still cool.

  3. Connie

I love to be outside, even working in the yard, but not so much after it is really hot & steamy. I do love to sit on back porch most anytime. I love to knit at night.

  4. Teri Anderson

All other summers it was watching baseball – we’ll see what this summer brings!

  5. Denise Bryant

I love tending to my plants on my deck during the summer.

  6. Donna K

Sitting by a pool reading when I’m not crafting. No matter where I go I have a craft of some sort with me to work on.

Staying indoors in the air conditioning – it can get up to 105 days at a time! Nights aren’t much better. I sew and look forward to late-fall and winter! LOL!

  10. Lori A Sharp

My favorite summer activity is camping with my family. My 3 pre-teens love going swimming, hiking and riding the trails. We take our dog with us. Fishing with my girls is the best. They love to catch them – but won’t eat them lol…

  11. Betty

I love being warm without having to wear a coat. As one who truly hates cold weather, my favorite thing is sitting outside and soaking up the sunshine!

  12. Stella

I stay indoors in air conditioning . . . I sew and make cards in preparation for the Holidays.

WooHoo!! Love that it’s Friday ☺ I feel I get more time to craft on the weekend than I do during the week. ☺♥
My favorite Summer activity would be sewing and crocheting when I can. I don’t really enjoy the sun, as my skin gets irritated and I find myself planted on a chair sewing or crocheting clothing or cute little items for the family. It’s like my all year-long activity. Just hooked to my sewing machine and yarn crafts.

  14. Cindi

In summer I enjoy fresh tomatoes and produce from the farmer’s market, and making a delicious BLT with those tomatoes! Also…quilting in my air conditioned sewing room!!

  15. Michelle

My craft activity real doesn’t change with the seasons I make blankets, slippers ,hats and booties for charity

Staying home and working on MANY projects I have accumulated over the years. So much fun, and it seems so little time, even though we are all staying at home.!!!

  19. Kelly OBrien

Swimming. It’s hot in Arizona and nothing feels as good as cooling off in the pool after being in the heat and sun!

  20. Judy

We love to travel in our RV! America the beautiful! I have a new appreciation for our wonderful country getting to see it up close! I love getting to meet lots of sweet people too!

  21. Carolyn K

This year is totally different, no traveling in the RV since my husband died in Sept. Trying to keep up yardwork and sort 40 years of records and papers and other cherished saved things.
Love sitting on the swing and reading a good book.

  22. Janie

I love to sit in the shade, crocheting, listening to birds and enjoying being alive.

  26. Lesa Dean

My husband and I are retired, so we love to have any of our five kids and 14 grandkids (and two GREAT grandkids!) come to visit! We live in the high desert where it’s VERY rural, and there are tons of fun things to do! All of our kids are very creative, so it’s really fun to do stuff together! Favorite summer fun is FAMILY!

  27. Susan Weston

My favourite summer activity, is camping and taking out the ATVs. We usually leave our camp around 11:00, and are gone up to 5 hours. But when we return, clean up, and eat, it’s my time to relax and enjoy myself. I usually take small knitting or crochet projects, however, the last couple times we have gone out, I have completed quilts by hand sewing the binding on.

  28. Dianne G.

I love walking along the river paths, going on picnics and enjoying watching my grandchildren have fun in the sunshine together every summer. Sadly, this summer this will not be possible with the border closed. They cannot visit now.

  29. Gail Plaskiewicz

We can’t go to the beach this year but I love to go to the beach! Sometimes I actually swim but wee also eat a lunch & if I’m done swimming I will sit on the blanket & color or read a book. I also love to take care of my garden. It looks so pretty!

  30. Laura

The summer here in DC, the humidity can stifling at times. I try to balance activities of outside activity (hiking, paddle boarding) to early morning. In the afternoon I go to my cross stitching and scrapbooking. What a perfect summer day.

  31. Debra

I love to keep my hands busy with knit and crochet during the summer so I can get a head start on Christmas gifts!

  32. JC Burch

Spend time with my grandson teaching crafting of everything that I can think of. We have a great time!

  33. Jean Bullock

Usually trying to stay cool but this year I am going to make Christmas cards for for retirement homes.
