That is a trick question I am so bad about leaving a mess in every craft I do LOL Sewing or quilting is my biggest mess I cut out all my pieces then somehow they get on teh floor finally I can sweep them in a pile and get them up but some get stuck to my feet and get in other rooms LOL

  2. Peggy Waltz

The biggest mess that I made while crafting is: Spilling paint and glitter all over my work area. I am still finding glitter in areas that it shouldn’t be. the paint was not an easy thing to clean up and glad it did not get on my carpeted floors….Paint markers are my new friend–no messy jars or cans.

  3. Wendy

I’ve made quite a few lol. I think the messiest was probable spilling candle wax while pouring homemade candles… wax is a pain to clean up!

  4. Randi

I don’t even know, but it surely can’t compare to the messes my kids make while doing crafts!

  5. Nickolina Jacoby

Glitter. I make ornaments from eggs using various techniques and decided to recycle some with black nail polish and macro glitter. They looked great but I still have glitter in places.

Surprisingly enough it was helping my daughters cheerleading team make signs. We set up in my garage and everything appeared to go okay but when they gathered the signs up there was paint all over the floor! Someone has even walked through it and tracked it into my house! We didn’t make signs at my house any more.

  7. Marilyn

My biggest mess was laying my arm in wet paint, and then unknowingly leaving spots of paint all over
the landscape I was painting on a wooden box. Oh my – I’ll never do that again.

  8. ginger whalen

Opening up new inks, one slipped and I now have Teal ink all over a pillow and a little on my carpet. Pretty happy that my pillow got most of it, oh and my hands were Teal for a week too.

    Thanks for another awesome giveaway!!!
Biggest Mess….it was a nightmare!! While trying to sort & organize my beads & jewelry making supplies, my dog rain through the living room where I was working while watching the Olympics!! I had set myself up on a somewhat flimsy folding table to do my work. And yes, she bumped one of the legs & down went everything!!! A total nightmare!! It took forever to find all my beads & supplies!! They were everywhere!! Under every piece of furniture, lots rolled into the kitchen, it was horrible!! I had to get on the floor with large container & just toss it all in there. I had to use my yard stick to slide under sofa & tables to retrieve items!! Now I had some real organizing to do as everything was definitely mixed up!!! Can you picture it? Beads, clasps, jump rings, sorting trays & containers, plus lots lots more covering the floor!! Once I picked what I thought was all of it up, I put it away & had to leave the house!!! For several weeks after, I was still finding beads that I missed!!! I can’t remember how long it was till I finally got back to that project. It took me several days to get it back in shape!! Yes, I learned my lesson…I bought a tv for my crafting area/room & I never craft nor organize in another room!!

Glitter, glitter, glitter!!! It’s everywhere! I love sparkle! Any craft, card making must have sparkle. I’m a big fan of “Leave a little sparkle wherever you go!”

  11. Ren

Let’s just say glitter has been banned from our home. And I mean glitter in any way, shape or form.

  12. Amber Smith

Definitely the mess I’ve made of myself and my clothes with hot glue and paper mache paste. I’ve since set aside “crafting clothes” so I don’t worry about it anymore.

  13. Elizabeth Cook

Easy. Making my sons Oscar the grouch costume, I cut the faux green fur inside and it bits of it got EVERYWHERE! It looked like a green fur explosion! I still find green fur to this day and that’s been months ago. Such a huge mess!

  14. Betty

While learning to use alcohol ink in different ways, I saw a video about burning the ink on a tile. I learned many, many years ago that alcohol is easily combustible. Curiosity overcame common sense, and I forgot all about safety. After splashing lots of ink on the tile, I added alcohol make it move more. I then tried to look down to watch the show as I set the ink on fire. Fire shot up instantly! My reaction was fantastic for a little old lady who had never before been able to jump high! I would have received a perfect ten for height and originality. My body moved about five feet straight up, and then moved backwards at a right angle. I didn’t, however, stick my landing. It did not help that I landed in a sitting position in a mud puddle!

  15. Crystal

Haha! I make a mess everytime I craft! But I do tend to avoid glitter… after… the accident.

  16. Carmen

Glitter … with a 4 year old. Yeah, you need to have a plan in place and hopefully a disposable table cloth to make the mess easy to clean up.

  17. Laura

I’ve definitely made a lot! The biggest I can remember is when I decided I wanted to do splatter painting on clothing… I had plastic laid down in the bathroom so I could have the clothing hanging for the paint and in the end had paint all over including on the ceiling somehow. It turned our really nice in the end but the mess was crazy!

  18. Stacey Hanchey

It’s so hard to say what my biggest mess is! One day I may spill glitter and paint, the next day I’m cleaning greenware and getting clay everywhere, and every day I’m covered in paint! No matter what mess I make, it’s always a blast!

  19. NANCY D

Glitter! Dropping glitter that went all over. My table, the floor, me and even the dog! I was cleaning up glitter for weeks!

  20. Mary Mac

I dropped a can of red paint on the garage floor. Even years latter it looks like a crime scene LOL

  21. Brenda

It was the night before my sister’s birthday and her gift was not finished and it was going to be late because the paint still have to dry but I missed some spots so I took the board outside leaned it up on the brick wall and 3 years later I still have a brown box shape on my wall. I keep thinking I need to finish my mess and paint flowers coming out of it then at least it will not just be a box. Bad part is it is straight out the sliding glass doors going to the garage we use it at least 4-5 a day. Can’t forget it.

  22. Suzanne Robinson

Biggest Mess? That would have to be the time I was painting items for a Christmas Craft show. I had to go to the bathroom while I was gone, 3 cats jumped on my work space, had a fight that took them through the loaded paint palette, knocked over the open jar of Mod Podge, rolled through 6 paper cups of glitter and then landed on floor. The Painted Ladies proceeded to run off in 3 different directions spreading paint, glue and glitter as they went. I was gone less than 5 mins.

  23. Theresa H

Glitter, it is always glitter. I am always trying to be careful but I drop it or spill it and it ends up everywhere.

  24. Greta Marullo

That would be the time I made a card for my Granddaughters Birthday. I replaced most of the words with pictures or buttons ,stickers charms and many, many more items to make my wording complete.
It took everything from scissors to stamp and ink to punches.
There were snips of paper all over the table and floor and the cat playing in them , spread them everywhere!
    .It was a giant mess.

  25. Judy

I have a quilt that, as I was machine quilting, allowed to go crooked. I was half way done before I realized how bad it was. I even had some basting on it which usually holds everything in place. Ugh! Everyone that quilts knows how bunched up it can get. I will definitely have to take it apart and begin again. The quilt is in a bag in a closet and has been now for a long while.

  26. Milena Jarvis

I like to work cleanly; I put paper under my project when using glue or paint, washing the paintbrushes and stamps right away, putting away my supply so they do not accumulate, etc. When my kids were small, I didn’t realized my four-year old took my craft scissors and shredded my living room curtains and sofa pillows.

  27. Patti G

My biggest craft mistake was not respecting the glue gun! I was out of tape and trying to wrap gift baskets with colored cellophane wrap. I folded the wrap over the bottom of the basket, liberally spread hot glue and then proceeded to press the flaps into place with my bare hands. Yes, the glue melted the plastic film and I had hot glue and melted cellophane stuck to the insides of both hands. With cold water and an ice pack I was back to my project an hour later, after I sent my hubby to the store for tape!

  28. Sara

Learning to use my knitting machine, I got through some of the practice pieces ok, but when I tried something else, I made such a tangle that I had to cut it out with scissors and broke a needle.

  29. Judy K.

Two times –one was when I was trying to braid fabric for rug strips — the strips were everywhere as I tried to sort them–my cat thought this was great fun. Especially when I would go to pick them up or sort them.
Second was when I was trying to organize all the craft supplies in my craft/sewing room. Still working on part of that…

  30. Tammie Kelly

Glitter. Seems like every time I use glitter I hit the container and it flies everywhere. I tell myself I will be careful every time, but it never fails, I bump the container.

  31. Sharon Aurora

Once when I was painting Christmas ornaments I spilled paint all over the place, completely ruining the ornaments that I was painting.

  32. NancyB from Many LA

Having excess amount of thread and fabric on the ground, table, shirt, etc…

  33. Charity Cram

The biggest mess is when I dropped my two containers of color organized eyelets all over the floor.

  34. Dolly Hinman

My biggest mess didn’t happen in one episode or overnight. My mess is my realization of 30+years of crafting-I have disorganization. I raised the children while a stay at home mom and I made ends meet with crafting. Then I took on the grandchildren ten hours a day 6 to 7 days a week, but I never missed a craft show by picking out what was an easy fix to sell @ the shows, and well you know how bargains multiply. Now the children have pretty well left me to wallow in my beautiful craft mess.Don’t misunderstand me I planned to continue crafts into my senior years they will keep me on my feet and I will meet people who tell of life stories. My children came to appreciate art from this mess.I have a seamstress, canvas painter and a refurbisher. We spent time at the county fairs and their school projects were top notch as we sew, paint, woodwork, scrapbook refurbish and turn trash into treasures. I am now putting like kind together, trying to clean up this mess. It is like Christmas everyday when I open a box and fine something gooooood, and I think to myself I”d never have looked here for that. Oh, this mess has and is a blessing.

  35. Carolyn Bevis

When sewing, I have pieces of thread, pins, material pieces all around my work area.
I would love to win this prize.

  36. Lolita Cox

My biggest mess while crafting was cutting my finger while changing a rotary cutter blade. I did all I could to stop the bleeding, but ended up in Urgent Care anyway. Now, I can’t tell where the cut was, but I’m way more careful around cutting blades of all kinds.

  37. Kathleen

Recently, I was cutting a design with my Scan N Cut and forgot to double check the design after loading the mat with paper. I inadvertently cut the wrong design and wasted card stock because I did not send the correct design.

  38. Krystyna Olsen

While decorating snowflakes, I hadn’t realized how much glue I had on my fingers….until I spilled the glitter. For a while, my hand did look quite magical.

  39. Susan P.

Whenever I do any kind of card making, I make a big mess because I use the dining room table. Paper scraps everywhere and I have to lay out all the items I might want to use.

  40. Dianne G.

I have made a lot of crafting messes with feathers and sequins all over the place but the worst mess was when I dropped a large bottle of glitter. I had to walk through it to get to the broom and it went everywhere. I kept seeing specks of glitter for months even though I had vacuumed, mopped and dusted time after time.

  41. Gail Plaskiewicz

I have a few big messes. I was doing a craft fair & I always brought something I did so people could see that I actually do make what I sell. I brought some beads to make earrings & a necklace. Somehow I spilled my beads in the road. I tried to pick them all up but I couldn’t. Our downtown got to keep some of my beads! LOL Another time I spilled beads in our living room carpet. I couldn’t find all of them & I think I vacuumed a bunch of them up! LOL I’ve also had some horrible accents with glitter. They are not fun to clean up for sure. I swear they were multiplying when I found some a week later! LOL
I do a lot of stamping & coloring on fabric so these would be so cool to have!

  42. Carol R.

Tables do not appreciate my craftiness. I was using a mini hammer (not thinking of the protection I needed) on a living room table. That table has a lot of little, dented, permanent reminders of that day. I also ruined our kitchen table when I spilled fingernail polish remover on it. I’m not crafty enough to attempt to fix that mistake yet.

  43. Jean V.

I was just about finished with a time consuming Birthday Card and my cat jumped up on the table, landed with his paw on my stamp pad, and proceeded to walk all over my card! The paw prints just didn’t go with the card very well!!

  44. Tena W

I knocked over a jar of paint and had to corral two curious cats away from the beauty artsy floor art that I accidentally made. The life of a Crafter.

  45. Gail

The biggest mess was using translucent powders and not realizing the trail I was leaving with this very fine powder. I was finding it everywhere and I thought I had it under control. Making a mess can be fun so long as there is no damage to your surrounding area.

  46. Margot H. Liebenthal

I’M THE HOT MESS!! Something is always wrong, this time a major back fusion, the biggest anyone has heard of. I can’t bend, twist, lift, or reach, which means I leave messes everywhere I go! I am unable to pick up anything I drop, so my sewing / craft room looks more like a disaster zone! Seriously!
