Bold sentiments stamped in black ink can really pack a punch when you add simple pops of color as an accent.  I do this with cards a lot so I wanted to also make some tags using the same technique.

I was inspired by the bold color scheme of Photo Play’s Confetti scrapbook kit and ephemera pack.  I wanted to pair some of the elements of the kit with their Confetti stamp set—a collection of birthday greetings perfect for cards and tags.

I used some large, white tags from Paper Accents and started stamping the bolder sentiments in a pattern on the tags using black ink.

Then, I simply added one accent piece using foam tape to the front of the tag.

I like adding the element to a corner, maybe trimming off the edge, or at an angle.  You want to make that one simple element stand out.

The pop of color against the black and white adds a fun element to the large tag.  I love adding thick, gingham ribbon to tie the tag for a little extra pattern.

This is another great way to use up extra scrapbook supplies.  Thanks so much for joining me today!
