Here is a Modern Plaid Christmas card – I do love a good plaid, especially at Christmas time.

For today’s project, I’m pairing a pretty plaid paper from Echo Park’s My Favorite Christmas 6×6 pack along with my new favorite stamp set of the season—the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Christmas Time set.

I love the angled look of this particular sentiment, so I thought I’d add a modern twist by trimming it out at an angle to lay on a card.

After stamping the image onto a piece of white cardstock, I trimmed it with my SureCut trimmer following the diagonal layout.

I ran a piece of the plaid paper (cut 4 ¼ x 5 ½)  from the 6×6 pad through my Creative Station to put adhesive along the back, then added it to the front of an A2 sized notecard.

I clustered a few greens from the Sizzix/Tim Holtz Mini Holiday Greens die set with liquid glue, adding Wink of Stella over the top for some shimmer.

After adding my Merry Christmas panel to the left corner of my card with foam tape, I scattered the greens along with some snowflakes I made using the Mini Snowflakes die set from Sizzix.

I die cut some of the snowflakes in mint card stock and layered them with white.  I really like the color combo.  The plaid is so traditional along with the script of the sentiment, but the angled panel and mint snowflakes kind of give it a modern feel.

I hope you’re Christmas crafting is going well—thanks so much for joining me today!
