My oldest son helping clean up afterwards. I didn’t have to ask he just started helping clean the dishes up etc. at that point I was very tired :)))

Husband smoking two turkeys outside in his smoker. I had no pans to wash and then he cut up all the turkey meat too! YAY

My favorite part of the holiday were the few stolen moments looking around the room at my family, and just “absorbing” how lucky we are to be able to share the time together.

Having my Mom around to make it all for us! She is about to turn 73 and still going strong! Love her Thanksgiving cooking and not sure what it would be like without her and our traditions!!

Dessert! Everybody chips in to cook the meal and we ended up with coconut cream pie, apple, pecan and pumpkin pies and pumpkin cheesecake bars! YUM!

My Family. The food was fantastic, but the best part was being able to be with my family for the day

Holding my 12 day old grandson so his mommy and daddy could help his 3 older siblings with their dinners, and then try to enjoy a little dinner for themselves. It was perfect chaos!

Working retail, my husband and I don’t really celebrate thanksgiving at home. We do however celebrate it with our retail family and friends. Sharing food and conversation fills our break room. Then we all go out to prepare for the sale to the masses. The newbies learn what Black Friday really is and the old hands weave in and out around the crowds taking care of things. Fun is had by all. 😉

As soon as we’re done eating, before anyone gets up from the table, we go around the table (there were 10 of us) and each tell what we are thankful for this year. It’s a special time with many insights to each of us and how we are doing.

Spending time with family, we see more family on Thanksgiving then any other time of the year being everyone is happy to come together.

My favorite part was preparing the last parts of the meal together with my husband. We’ve done this enough times to work harmoniously around each other while finishing up different dishes. It all for in the oven for the 30 or so minutes needed and is a nice memory I will hold onto.

The stuffing is always my favorite. It is my mom’s recipe and it is so tasty. I would be happy to just have a plate of turkey and stuffing without everything else!

My favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal is saying what we are thankful for…this is the first Thanksgiving without GG.

    Oooooh, these inks look awesome!
It was nice to have a very relaxed and low-key day yesterday! It was just my husband and me this year, so we had no schedule of when dinner needed to be ready. I’d done a bit of the prep the day before, and it just all came together very nicely!

The best part of the Thanksgiving meal is spending time with family, good food and the talking that’s goes on before, during and after.

The fact that for only the second time in 64 years I was in charge of the meal, in my own home. Only DH and me, but so peaceful. The two of us decided on the menu to please just ourselves. I wore my sweatpants all day. Can’t say it was the most delicious meal I ever prepared, but it was pleasant. I surprised myself by enjoying the dressing, which was a request of my husband’s. Usually I think of it as a cold, gummy glop, but I quite liked the one I made, albeit from a packaged mix. No traveling, and a nice afternoon nap. Not a single argument to be heard all day. Peace to all you crafters out there, and to the Think Crafts! staff.

All of it, but especially making the pies from scratch with my eight year old great-niece. Memories!

I would have to say it was the fellowship we had together around the table! The food was great, too, especially the pumpkin dessert
