Celebrate Thanksgiving with this fun Native American Headband craft made with felt feathers! You’ll love the short list of materials, plus its easy steps make this craft suitable for toddlers!

You’ll need:

Brown cardstock
Felt (brown, yellow, orange)
Stapler
Craft scissors

Step one:

Start by cutting the 8×11 cardstock into two long strips, each about 2 inches.

Optional: you can decorate the headband by using crayons to draw zig-zap designs, etc.

Step two:

Staple the two ends of the brown cardstock strips together. Then measure around your childs’ head, trim if needed and staple again to secure, making a headband.

Step three:

Using the craft scissors and felt, cut out one feather for each color. Then, make about 1/4 inch slits down each side of the feather.

Step four:

Once your 3 feathers are all set, staple them to the front of the headband.

Isn’t this headband festive? Now it’s time to grab a Thanksgiving book and learn about Native American history surrounding this holiday while wearing your awesome headband!
