It’s back to school time—let the moans and groans begin LOL!  The kids may not always love going back to school, but little surprises like notes and treats can make those long school days seem a little brighter.

I had a lot of fun putting together this colorful card using paper from Jen Hadfield’s Chasing Adventures 8×8 paper pad along with Avery Elle and Doodlebug stamps.

The little notebook paper in Doodlebug’s You’re Sweet stamp set actually inspired me for this card.  I stamped the image multiple times onto some yellow cardstock and then trimmed everything out with scissors.  I thought it would be cute to have the papers as a backdrop for my school-themed card.

After covering the front of an A2 sized white notecard with the Chasing Adventures paper, I adhered the notebook papers using foam tabs with a few going off the edge.  I trimmed off any excess paper hanging over with my scissors.

For the sentiment, I stamped a greeting from Avery Elle’s So Kind set and backed it with a heart I created with some Doodlebug Ladybug paper and the Tonic Traditional Layering Hearts die.

The layers, bright colors and textures make this a fun card to pop in your child’s book bag to send some love.  Thank you so much for joining me today!
