Handprint crafts are so cute, right? And this Handprint Volcano requires a little help from a tiny hand too! It’s super fun, steps are really easy and it looks spectacular when finished!

You’ll need:

Step one:

Place the cardstock paper vertically and draw a large triangle on the botton half portion of the paper. This will serve as a guide and help younger children draw/paint the volcano mountain.

Step two:

Paint the mountain using brown, red, orange and green washable kids paint.

Step three:

Time for lava explosion! Help the child paint the whole palm and fingers with brown paint, adding a bit of red and orange to the mix. Stamp the hand at the top of the mountain, press down and gently pick up. Let the volcano dry.

This Handprint Volcano makes a great classroom craft idea if you’re learning about volcanos, nature, weather, etc. Simple list of materials, easy steps for all kids and lots of fun!
