Space age, retro fun is what my project today is all about.  I think I’ve mentioned before my love for retro style elements on cards.

This die set called Atomic Elements has tons of options!  I’m also going to be trying for the first time, a new to me adhesive that is perfect for super delicate die cuts like these.

This Glue Sponge is just what the name implies.  A sponge basically saturated with glue.  Spoiler alert—I love it! It gets just the right amount of liquid glue on your die cut and wipes away easily and clearly.

After running my die cuts through my Gemini Jr. using black cardstock, I pat each one on top of the Glue Sponge.  Just a few quick taps and the back of the die cut is covered evenly with glue.  The lid of the product snaps on tight so the glue does not dry up.

After creating my design, I added a sentiment from the Celebration Words die set using teal card stock.  I thought it went perfectly with the retro theme of the card.  I popped up the piece with the sentiment on it with foam tape to create a nice contrast with the black and white pattern.

The Glue Sponge was great for quickly adhering the small intricate die cut pieces and will definitely have a permanent spot in my tool drawer.

Thanks so much for joining me today!
