These Water-Painted Cotton Ball Flowers take watercolors to a whole new level. This craft idea is fun, easy to prep and so beautiful! You’ll need basic craft supplies with an addition of cotton balls and droppers. Kids will be fascinated to use the dropper with watercolors to color in the flower petals, so fun!
- White Cardstock
- Green Permanent Marker
- Yellow Permanent Marker
- Cotton Balls
- Washable Kids Paint
- Plastic or styrofoam cups with water (as many as you have of paint)
On the white cardstock, using the green permanent marker, draw flower stems, flower centers (with yellow marker) and a few leaves.
Now, seperate the cotton balls into smaller balls. We made 4 out of one large cotton ball.
Next, glue on the cotton ball “petals” around each yellow flower center.
Add a squirt of washable kids paint to each cup filled with a little bit of water (about half filled).
That’s it for prep! Now is the fun part. Allow the kids to use the dropper, fill it will the desired colored water and color in the cotton ball petals to make them colorful.
Such a unique crafting idea!
