I recently had a delicious frozen limeade.  It was a beautiful green color and of course, it immediately inspired my color palette for today’s project.

I started off by using this pretty Nuvo Embellishment paste in Spring Green along with a lined stencil to create a mixed media background for my stamped images.   I used an A2 size notecard as my base.

I kept the lines a little messy just to try something new.  It actually took me a couple of tries to get the “perfect” messy look lol!

For my stamps I used a set from Hero Arts called, Stamp Your Own Fruit.  I colored the lemon using yellows and greens from my Zig Clean Color brush pack and added clear Wink of Stella over the top.

I wanted to add some more lemons without the sentiment, so instead of stamping, I used a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to trace around the lemon.  It stamps just like regular ink.

After trimming out my lemons, I assembled them onto the front of the card using glue dots and foam squares.

For another splash of color I scattered some orange hearts around the lemons.

Have you ever been inspired by food?  The colors, textures, placement on a platter?  Take a closer look next time you sit down for a meal, you may just get an idea for your next project.  Thanks for joining me today!
