This Egg and Chick Ornament is a super easy and fun craft you can do with your little ones.

Kids will love creating it plus it makes a wonderful décor piece for the house or classrooms.

While this craft is simple, it works on many important developmental skills at the same time. Fine motor, hand-eye coordination and creativity are all areas your child will be exercising and improving while having a ton of fun all at once!
You’ll need:

Optional:

Or you can use something finished to place inside. We put my daughter’s nest with an egg and a chick inside that she made in her Sunday School. It looked super cute and perfect!

Step One:

Paint the paper mache egg ornament with washable kids paint.

Allow the child to choose their own paint colors and create their own designs.

Hand to dry.

Step Two (optional choice):

Using orange felt, cut out a small triangle and glue onto your pom-pom.

Step Three:

Now, add the googly eyes and stick the little chick right into the egg ornament once dry. You can glue the chick to the inside of the egg.

This simple and fun craft is perfect as a preschool art project and can be hung for beautiful Spring decorations!
