All the beautiful blooms and flowers, trees and shrubs brightening up everything inside & outside!!

Winters end and the thrill of daffodil shoots emerging randomly about. The faint coloration on trees and shrubs as their leaf buds begin to show. Knowing grey and white bareness will be replaced with lush shades of green and balmy breezes. So thankful for the cycle of life and beauty of the seasons.

Forsythia and violets – as a child, a backyard neighbor had a forsythia that bloomed in the back corner outside my bedroom. My mother always told me it was the first sign of spring. Then the neighbor cut a few branches and gave them to my mother – My mother planted them below my bedroom window and sure enough they bloomed every year. When I moved out, I took a sprig and put it in a pot – The pot is still blooming and goes with me every year. Alongside our garage were violets that self seeded. I didn’t take those when I moved, but suddenly one year violet leaves surfaced in around my forsythia. I have only had a single violet bloom, but I took it as a wink from my mom that she is happy I have carried on her gardening love.
