I have a lot of greenery-themed stamps in my collection. I love them because they are timeless and add the perfect accent to flowers or stand alone with an elegant sentiment.
Today, I have a couple of cards I created with the Sizzix/David Tutera Eucalyptus Flourish stamp and die set.
For this first card, I used a kraft notecard and heat embossed the large stamp in white along the side. I die cut more heat embossed leaves and layered those over the top to create a pretty border.
Quick Tip: When I choose a sentiment, I usually like it to have the opposite look of the focal point image. For example, for this card, I thought the soft, curvy hello looked nice with the more graphic stamped image. I don’t always do it this way. Sometimes, for clean and simple, graphic cards, I keep everything the same style. But for the most part, I do like to keep things interesting by mixing styles.
Nuvo drops in Caribbean Ocean add a pop of color to the kraft card.
I made a coordinating card using the other leaf dies from the set and stacking two on top of each other with foam tape.
This makes things a little more interesting than just having the leaves lie flat. You get a pretty shadow, but using the same color keeps it clean and simple.
I layered the little sprigs over the top of the leaves using a teal colored cardstock and added some Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Drops around the sentiment.
Using unexpected colors with your greenery stamps and dies is fun instead of just the traditional green. Try some bright colors or glitter for other fun options. Thanks for joining me today!
