The project I am most proud of is surprising our local summer collegiate baseball team with photo albums at the end of the summer.

Favorite thing. Hand pieced Grandmother Flower Garden quilt. Seem to take forever, 1.5 inch finished hexagons.

  3. Linda Holly

My favorite items were a set of sewn trick or treat bags
I made for 3 of my grandchildren. Patchwork style with a large google-eyed owl and their names on each.

My favorite thing I’ve made is a special, rainbow baby embroidered baby blanket for a dear friend who lost her baby girl ❤️

Bookmark I cross stitched for my sister. She loves to read and likes Cardnials. It had a beautiful one on it and she really liked it. Second would be a wedding sampler for my nephew. Always give away what I make.

  6. Suzanne Root

A cross stitch baby blanket for my Daughter. Truth be told I started it when pregnant with her older brother ,my first, continued work on it with the second one and finally finished it when pregnant with her. Honestly this was difficult because all my crafts are my favorites.

A lovely quilt in red flower prints with a solid red back. I had admired one similar in a catalog but the price was prohibited. My first attempt was very successful.

Favorite “thing” I’ve made? I assume this may be referring to crafts, but right now my favorite things I’ve made are food. Lol! Eclair cake or Boston cream pie perhaps.

I have a pretty lap quilt, started by a friend, completed by me. It keeps me from being chilly while I read or nap and it keeps my heart warm with memories if my friend. I’ve made many things but this is the one that always makes me smile.

I started making cold pressed soaps. I LOVE how they are so soft, sudsy and feel so great on my skin.

  12. Mary Mac

A Santa Cross Stitch afghan for my mother. Took approximately five months to make. She still has it

  13. Brenda Brinkman

My favorite project was a doily that I made. It covered the entire top of my round dining table. It was done in the pineapple motif and had crochet with pearl centers.

I made a king size log cabin quilt with old blue jeans that I had been saving- they were all blue jeans my kids wore growing up and it was in all differing blue tones- I pieced it all by hand. A labor of love and every time you wash it, it gets softer!

My favorite thing I have made is a mini album and matching keepsake box. I used G45’s Mother Goose Collection to make it as a Baby Shower gift for my grand-nephew’s arrival! TFS!

  16. Marcia Reimer

Shadow boxes that contained old old family photos and other small mementos and old jewelry along with hand crocheted gloves made by my Great Grandma.

A project that I have enjoyed immensely was in completing a quilt for my husband’s 50th birthday. His maternal grandmother had embroidered some beautiful blocks in the 1950’s which she had intended to sew into a baby quilt for him. He was quite sick in his early years, and she put the blocks away. My mother in law gave me the blocks in the late 1990’s. I finally put them into a full-sized quilt and then had it custom-quilted in designs of barns and corn. He is so delighted with his 3-generation gift!

My favorite thing is a canvas for my parents when they celebrated their 60th anniversary. I used one of their wedding pictures and a current picture.

  19. Linda Parker

I love making jewelry and I’m very new at it. My favorite piece is a Boho inspired necklace on deer skin leather.

My most recent project is a set of towels and hot pads done in Swedish weaving. Since Christmas I have completed 5 towels and 2 hot pads in Swedish weaving, one Christmas cross stitch ornament, a ribbon/material cross mounted on a frame, and started 3 more cross stitch projects. Has been a long winter and first one since retiring. God has blessed me and I am loving life.

For many years I volunteered at my children’s elementary school and helped the art teacher. When the school decided to put on a play she was in charge of the backdrops and costumes for it. She was going to make some construction paper masks but asked me if I had any other ideas. I asked if I could sew some costumes instead and she was happy to turn the project over to me. There were a group of hippos in the play and I decided to make a soft sculpture head for them. I got them made and they looked more like horses to me. I showed a friend and we put our heads together and made a few alterations and the hippo heads were just right. I made a few other animals and puppets for the play but the hippos were my favourite and when they came out on stage there was a great response as the kids loved them and really got into their hippo roles. I would say this was the most difficult thing I have made but they ended up being my most favourite creation.

When we moved to Wyoming I wanted to learn to quilt. I made a king size brigh+ colored Sample quilt. EverY Square is different design. So much fun and so vibrant! I love living in the west

I found the perfect car to restore! 1957 Chevy Belair. I’m painting the body now. It will be gorgeous when I’m done. I plan to take a road trip once I’m done!

  24. Kelly OBrien

I designed a cross-stitch wall hanging for my grandmother from the sheet music from her favorite hymn “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.” I adorned the “sheet music” with a flower and ribbon stitched design and had it framed. She’s had it on her wall for over twenty-five years and it made the cut as one of the few items she’s used to decorate the walls at her retirement community.

  25. Brenda Lieswald

My nephew’s baby scrapbook I worked almost the last 20 years on it and end of the month he will be 20 years old.
Now on to his sister’s book.

  26. Adele Human

I stitched a crewel wall-hanging with daisies, Queen-Anne’s lace and assorted greenery for my parent’s 25th wedding anniversary. It turned out so well! I was so proud of it!

  27. Judy K

I made a set of appliance covers for my kitchen out of a quilted fabric. They are colorful, washable and keep dust off my small appliances.

  28. Michelle de

The items I am most that I made is a couple loom knitted items I did. I have made blankets for my sister, my niece and my nephews. I made both my sister hate and scarves. My niece has a scarf I made and my youngest sister I made her a cowl for Christmas.

I made a lot of photo albums over the years and I made a special one for my Aunt who turned 75. It was gold material covered with white lace. I was also able to find a good pic of her that I put on the front of the album in a little frame that I made. I also covered the frame with little flowers in white and gold. Everyone at the party loved it.

  30. Susan S.

The one favorite thing that I made was a crocheted afghan for myself that is so soft and thick.
It is perfect for the winter time and to keep me warm while I am crocheting or other crafting.

  31. Laura

I’ve made so many projects I love, my favorite would probably have to be the boxers I made for my husband. I made them as a joke and he loves them! They are black with white lace trim and some iridescent ribbon. I was going to do white and pink but I worked with what I had on hand.

  32. Cindy Sherwood

I designed a crocheted corner to corner afghan with Jeeps. 4 squares, each a different season and framed each square in a woodsy yarn and joined them. I made it to raffle off at a Jeep themed cancer benefit.

  33. Victoria Coyne

I made a Full 18-year Scrapbook/Photo album for a friends daughter for her Graduation. It was perfect. She loved it.

  34. Sharon Aurora

My favorite thing I have made is either the advent calendar or the Stockings I made a couple of years ago.

  35. Theresa

An afghan I made for the couch in our motorhome. It was the second one I made after learning to crochet and I love it.

  36. Donnalynn Lawton

My favorite thing I made was the ice candles we made at camp. I made them over 10 years ago and they are still a great conversation starter with visitors to my home.

  37. Cynthia Galbicsek

A baby quilt. After years of wishing i could accomplish a quilt worthy of a gift, finally i accomplished this.

  38. Jean V

I made an Afghan for a friend’s wedding 20 years ago. We lost touch and just recently we met at a meeting again and she was telling me that she still had the beautiful Afghan I made her for her wedding gift 20 years ago.
