It’s cold outside, but somehow we still have plants growing inside!  Today’s project is a clean and simple 8 ½ x 11” layout of our little pine tree sprout that sits on the windowsill.

I created a background on some bright blue card stock using the Jack Frost stencil from Echo Park along with some pearlescent embossing paste.

To pop up my photo and journaling, I used foam sheets along with some strong tape.  I wanted all of my elements to seem like they were floating through the snow.

I arranged a few of the pieces from Echo Park’s Celebrate Winter Chipboard Accents set all around my layout.  I placed them top to bottom in a back and forth pattern to help the eye move down the page.

I think the pops of red add some nice brightness to this snowy page.

Sometimes winter memories aren’t just about the snow and cold, but the happy little unexpected things that are happening all around us during the season.   Hope this project inspires you to document your winter memories.  Have a great day!
