Sometimes, for Valentine’s Day, a blank note card is all you need to write to that special someone. In this case, the front of the card should be able to stand alone and really make a statement. For today’s project, I’m using the Folk Heart die from DoCrafts to create a lovely, layered greeting.
This die is a gorgeously detailed heart shape with lots of leaves and flowers weaved within. I thought it would look pretty to layer two of these on top of each other using different colors/textures of cardstock.
I first die cut the heart using some gold foiled cardstock.
Over the top, I added another heart die cut in a mint color. I adhered the two together using some Tombow Aqua glue and offset them a bit. I love how the shiny foil peeks out from the back and gives the heart a 3D look. I created an A2 size notecard using some light, peachy pink cardstock and added the heart to the front using foam squares.
To the left side of the heart, I added a little cluster of some vellum hearts cut from Tonic’s Hearts Die Set along with a sentiment from the Sizzix Framelits Circle Sentiments Die Set.
This is a very soft and understated look, but you could go bright and bold by just changing out the cardstock colors. Thanks so much for joining me today!

Absolute georgeous! So beautiful!
