Stamp sets with animals on them are very versatile. They’re great for all kinds of card themes such as birthdays, encouragement and friendship. I also like to add them to baby-themed cards since you need all the cuteness you can get with these. For today’s project, I borrowed a few animals from Avery Elle’s Peek A Boo pals set to create a little welcome home card for a new baby.
I wanted to create another tone on tone type layered card with the sentiment being the main focal point, so I stamped “It’s a Baby” from Ranger’s Letter It-Baby stamp set onto a piece of white card stock and trimmed it close on all sides.
I arranged some of the animal stamps onto the front of a 4.25” x 5.5” notecard and placed the sentiment panel over the top so the animals were “peeking out”.
When I was happy with my arrangement, I used my We R Memory Keepers Precision Press Advanced to stamp all the stamps at once using black dye ink.
I colored in the animals using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. I used these instead of alcohol markers since they do not show through the back of the card.
After coloring the animals, I popped up the sentiment layer over the top with foam tape and added a few hearts I die cut out of blue and pink felt.
The felt adds to the baby theme and gives a little bit of a different texture to the card. Thanks so much for joining me today!
