When you’re pressed for time during this holiday season and want to make your own gift tags, there’s nothing easier than using a pre-made kit.  This falls somewhere in the middle of homemade and store bought, as all the parts of the tag are chosen for you, but you get the fun of assembling it your way.

For today’s project, I’m using the Tag Kit from Crate Paper’s Merry Days collection.  It comes with all the components for glittery tags and there’s even twine included!

Inside the kit, there are 10 gold glitter cardstock panels.  You could leave them as is and start creating, but I decided since I have the We R Memory Keepers Tag Punch Board, I would turn them into actual tag shapes.

After punching the tags, I started layering the embellishments over the top, adding foam tape once I was happy with the arrangement.

I thought it would look cute to add these shaker stickers from Merry Days (sold separately from the tag kit) to the circle shaped embellishment pieces and attach them to some of the tags.

You can have the shaker on one side, and the little picture on the other.

I also added some embellishments to the other side of the tag so you have decoration on both sides.

This kit took all the guesswork out of creating a design and starting from scratch.  Now I have a nice collection of gift tags I can attach to plain gift bags and I’m ready for any last minute gift giving.  I love shortcuts, especially this time of year.  Thanks so much for joining me today!
