Glitter and Christmas cards definitely go hand in hand. For my project today, I’m showcasing Bo Bunny’s Glitter Paste in Emerald with a stencil from Echo Park. The stencil is called Branches, from their Celebrate Autumn line, but I thought with some green glitter paste, it could easily be used for a holiday themed card.
I started off with a panel of kraft-colored cardstock 4 ¼” by 5 ½” and placed my stencil over the top.
To protect my work surface, I used a piece of scrap paper underneath securing the stenciled panel with Post-It Tape. I used an old gift card to spread the glitter paste evenly over the top of the stencil making sure to get every branch. This paste spreads so easily– it’s really fun to use!
Look at that glittery texture!
I trimmed my panel down to 4 ¾” by 3 5/8” and secured it to an A2 sized notecard I made with pine green cardstock. To give it some lift, I adhered some foam underneath the panel and then added the whole thing to the card.
For the sentiment, I used these pretty gold stickers from Crate Paper’s Merry Days collection. I simply arranged them on a small piece of white cardstock and backed it with another panel of the pine green cardstock to adhere it to the middle of the card. An easy way to add sentiments to cards with no stamping involved.
The glittery green branches are definitely the highlight of this card. I love that just by changing the colors used on this stencil, it went from autumn to winter-themed. Thanks so much for joining me today!
