Free Stuff Friday!!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have all had a good week, I know I have. Now let’s get right to the point…this weeks prize! This week we are giving away a 9 inch Precision Quilting Tools Wool Ironing Mat.

The Precision Quilting Tools Wool Ironing Mat retains heat, so when you iron fabric it’s like ironing from both sides at the same time. The 1/2 inch density provides extra protection for any ironing surface. This portable mat is easy to take to class or to another room. The rounded corners minimize wear and tear. 9 inch.

Every Friday we’ll post a giveaway on Think Crafts and all you have to do is comment on the blog post answering the question of the week. We’ll pick the winners and contact them via email. Deadline is midnight tonight and the winner will be announced on Monday. One entry per person please.

Question of the week: What fictional world or place would you like to visit?

I’d like to visit the dystopian society in the Scott Westerfeld Uglies and Pretties books, but I don’t know that I’d want to stay there for too long! 🙂

Actually, I think I’d like to visit any of his settings.

Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. Love to run my hand thru the chocolate river that flows thru the factory.

  3. Debbie Mellinger

My son came up with an island that at bed time we would visit together just by talking. It was the Island of the Dragon. I would love to go there again with him but he is now 17 and too grown up to visit with me there any more.

  4. Joanie Wallrich

Harry Potter is where my whole family would like to visit. That is probably the only thing my whole family agrees on!

  5. Margaret Piland

I would love to be in the world of Harry Potter. It would be cool to use magic as a little something to get through the day.

  6. Christine P

The fictional land where no one has to work…or maybe just I don’t have to work…but then I couldn’t just visit because I don’t think I’d ever want to leave!

I’m currently reading the Chronicles of Narnia. Narnia sounds like a nice place to visit – especially when Peter, Susan, Edmond, and Lucy were reigning.

  9. Katie Amodio

Camelot! Especially with the star of our country right now, please!
Wonderful idea to have a felt ironing mat. Brilliant.

Oh so many, but I think I would like to visit Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory from the original movie. I love all the bright colors, and you can’t beat a chocolate river!

I would go back in time and visit my grandpa’s cabin. It was in the woods and by a little lake. Grandma would make donuts and my sister and I ate till we almost burst.

My first reaction was, “How to choose?” But then I realized every place filled with wonders and special powers and magical creatures also has a dangerous, dark side to it. So I’d take any if I could escape the bad part, but perhaps my top pick would be Anne McCaffrey’s world of Pern…if I could have a dragon, of course!

  13. Lee

I’d like to be a house guest at The Burrow, the Weasley family home from the Harry Potter series, so I could watch dinner stir itself.

  14. Roberta A Humphrey-Stephens

Visiting Monet’s Water Lillies and sitting in the midst of the beautiful colors and peace to create the crafts I love is my dream.

  15. Karen Dittrich

Rivendell. It looked so incredibly serene in Lord of the Rings. I loved the architecture and the waterfalls as well.

  16. Barbara Studebaker

I think the world of the Hobbits would be grand I love the houses under the hill. Love all that wood and green green grass.

  17. Carla Jo Worth

Fictional world? So many to choose from. I would love to visit the world of Pern and become bonded to a dragon.
