Remember having fun as a child playing tic-tac-toe? Have some of that fun again this Valentine’s Day with this hugs, kisses and love tic- tac- toe card.  It’s easy to do and will hold memories that will last a lifetime.  Here’s how.

Create a card base using a piece of cardstock cut down to size and folded in half.  This base measures 5” x 7”, but you can create this card in any size that you’d like.

Cut a 4 ½” x 6” piece of patterned paper and attach it to the base with a tape runner.  Take the second piece of cardstock and attach it.

Stamp the sentiment in the right hand corner to begin the card.

Now cut 4 pieces of twine that measure 3 ¼” each and lay them aside for a minute.

Using a ruler and pencil, draw out the tic-tac-toe squares on the top piece of cardstock that is attached to the card base.

Trace small lines of glue over the pencil lines and then lay the pieces of twine over the glue and allow to dry.  Two of the pieces will cross over the other two so make sure that they are secure so the twine is not loose.

Create eight “x’s” and “o’s” and one heart shape using a die and die cutting machine, alphabet and heart stickers or alphabet stamps and heart punches. Glue them into each of the section for a finished card or have some fun and attach them with a removable adhesive so the game can be played.

Create it as just a card to share or add some fun and make the pieces moveable so the game can really be played.  Wouldn’t that be fun? Who wouldn’t love to play a favorite child’s game and remember the love shared on February 14th? Memories of days gone by or ones created in the present are memories of a lifetime.  Create some memories today!

About Peg

Peg Rounds lives in East Moline, Illinois with her husband and best friend, Kevin and their son Josh and 2 dogs. She was an elementary school teacher turned stay at home mom, and later a home school mom. Over the years, she designed cakes on the side and went to school to become a certified chocolatier. She always has loved to craft since she was young and it was something that she wanted to be doing, but set it aside due to her busy life. After 15 years of doing cakes she decided it was time to stop and focus more on her family. She began doing layouts, then cards and it went from there. Before she knew it, next to spending time with her family, she spent every free moment creating something and blogging about it. One thing led to another and here she is today!
