Make a fun butterfly or dragonfly with a handprint!

Get crafty with the kids and make some butterflies and dragonflies. Add some string to hang in the window or a magnet to the back to brighten up your fridge.

What you need:

Paint one side of a popsicle stick for the front and another for the back of your insect body. We used paintbrushes and q tips to paint with.

Paint your child’s  hand with their choice of color(s).

Have them place their hand on the transparency paper and gently lift. Remember to do each hand.

For a dragonfly only paint the middle and index fingers. Help your child wash the paint off their hands.

Let your handprints dry, then cut them out leaving a little trim around them.

Place the back popsicle stick upside down and glue the wings down. Next glue the top stick down so the wings are sandwiched between the sticks.
