Create tiny cinnamon rolls that look sweet enough to eat!

Create a cute cinnamon roll from clay that is easy enough for a beginner but fun for any level of experience. Turn your cinnamon roll into a charm or glue a magnet to the back for a tasty looking fridge magnet.

What you need:

Roll out a cane of clay 1 1/2 inch long and about the thickness of a pencil.

Slightly flatten.

Roll it up.

Use your smallest ball end detail tool to smooth out the swirl.

Use a paint brush to paint on some burnt yellow/ tan chalk pastel. Paint lightly so you have varying pigments of color to create a baked look.

Paint on some brown chalk to a few areas like around the bottom edges. Don’t get too carried away, you don’t want it to look burnt.

Mix some Liquid Fimo and cinnamon together. Apply your cinnamon paint to just the swirl of your roll. Pre bake your roll at 265 for 5 minutes. If you are turning this into a charm insert a head or eye pin before baking.

Brush Cleaning Tip: Liquid Fimo can be hard to remove with just soap but alternating washing in soap and rubbing alcohol will save you from throwing away your brush.

Mix together Liquid Fimo an white chalk till it is a milky white color. Apply your fake icing to the top of your roll using a tooth pick or thin paint brush. Bake at 265 for 20 minutes.

What do you plan on doing with your little cinnamon rolls?
