Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I mean how can you miss it with all of the pink and hearts all over stores. Elyse’s school (aka daycare) is having a little party and I wanted to be sure that she had something festive to wear for the occasion.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Onesie or t-shirt
- Heart Stencil Mask – I made mine with adhesive vinyl and my Silhouette, but just a paper heart would would fine too.
- Fabric Paint
- Pencil (with an eraser)
Start by placing the stencil mask on the onesie where you would like it. If you are using paper, use some double sided tape to tape it down. Then, grab your paint and your pencil. Dip the eraser side of the pencil into the paint, and then press the eraser straight down onto the onesie to make a print. Continue making several prints with the eraser before reloading with paint.
Continue around the heart until you have reached your desired look.
Remove the stencil.
And voila…it really is that simple, and could be a fun craft to do with kids, plus this technique would work on all kinds of things.
