Share this card with friends as a reminder to get a breast cancer screening and let them know you care.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month.  It’s time to have your checkup.  Create and share this card with your friends to remind them to be checked too.

1

Start by cutting a 5” x 10” piece of skin toned cardstock and score it in half.  Turn it so the scored edge is on the top.

2

Using a circle die, line the bottom up with the bottom edge of the card and trace the side and bottom curves twice, one next to the other.

3

Cut on the traced lines with a pair of scissors.

4

Round the corners on the top of the card using a corner rounder.  You can, also, round the corners on the back of the card, but it is not necessary.

5

Now, cut 4 circles using the Lacey Circles by Spellbinders die and the circle dies by Spellbinders with your die cut machine.  Adhere the circles together with a tape runner.  Two will be from cardstock and two from patterned paper (You’re Invited by Bo Bunny shown).

6

Take one lacey circle and place it on your scoring board and score it at 1 ½”.   Remember to make the score on the back side of the circle so that the score line is crisp when folded.

7

Fold it so that the lacey circle is folded towards the front as shown.  Adhere the fold down so that it lays flat.

8

Cut two 1” x 4” strips from cardstock and punch only one side using your favorite edge punch.

9

Attach the strips onto the card just to the inside of the rounded corners and then attach the lacey circle that was not scored.  Line up the second circle and attach it layering it over the top of the first one in the middle.

10

Punch a button using the Martha Stewart button punch from a piece of cardstock.

11

Add some 3-d adhesive to the back of the button and place it in the center of the circles.  Add an adhesive gem to the center.

Share this card with friends as a reminder to get a breast cancer screening and let them know you care.

Stamp the sentiment on the fold and finish off the inside of the card with this fun appointment stamp by Hero Arts and a handwritten note to remind them to schedule the appointment.

Create one and send it to everyone on your friends list.  Let them know you care and hope that they have their appointment set to be checked.  Is your appointment set too?

About Peg

Peg Rounds lives in East Moline, Illinois with her husband and best friend, Kevin and their son Josh and 2 dogs. She was an elementary school teacher turned stay at home mom, and later a home school mom. Over the years, she designed cakes on the side and went to school to become a certified chocolatier. She always has loved to craft since she was young and it was something that she wanted to be doing, but set it aside due to her busy life. After 15 years of doing cakes she decided it was time to stop and focus more on her family. She began doing layouts, then cards and it went from there. Before she knew it, next to spending time with her family, she spent every free moment creating something and blogging about it. One thing led to another and here she is today! Check out Peg's blog, Peg's Crafting Corner to see what else she has been up to!
