Kids Crafts: Halloween Decor

I think everyone can agree that the 2 most fun holidays to decorate for are Christmas and Halloween. Christmas is magical and beautiful, but Halloween is so much fun. I don’t think there’s a kid out there that doesn’t love it when the cobwebs and talking skeletons come out. Why not get them involved in making the decorations too? Here are some fun decorations kids of all ages can create.

Foam Batty Bats

Make a garland of colorful and spooky bats. Kids can decorate with markers, stickers, googly eyes, whatever you can find to make them extra scary!

Halloween Tin Can Ghost - Faithfully Free

Upcycle a tin can into a spooky ghost wind sock. Hang a bunch of these on a tree or your porch and let the haunting begin!

If kids are too young to carve up their own jack-o-lanterns, help them make their own fun pumpkins with recycled materials. Grab some battery powered tea lights and light them up at night!

Creepy Crawly Spider Tree

If your kid loves cobwebs, they’ll love to make their own spider tree. The spiders are much less scary than real ones, but still spooky enough for any haunted home.

Halloween Paper Plate Wreath - I Heart Arts n Crafts

Kids can welcome trick-or-treaters with a homemade wreath on your front door, complete with a handprint spider. This is an inexpensive craft that your kid will love to show off.

It’s officially Halloween season, so let the fun begin!
