Here’s another wonderful idea to add to your card stash. Keep this beautiful butterfly card on hand for those last minute cards that you may need. It’s great for a birthday, thinking of you or any occasion when you need a quick card to give.
Begin by die cutting a butterfly from patterned paper (Snap Color Vibe by Simple Stories) using a die cutting machine. Place an adhesive rhinestone on it to represent the head. This will give the butterfly a little dimension.
Add some green ink to only the stems of the Meadow Flowers stamp by Inkadinkado and stamp several stems onto a 4” x 6” piece of white cardstock. Make sure to wipe off any ink that has gotten onto the flowers before you stamp. Now, stamp one of the flowers from the set onto the stems in your choice of ink colors (a pink ink pad was used here).
This design looks created layered with cardstock and patterned paper. Cut a 4 ¾” x 6 ¾” piece of cardstock and use a tape runner to adhere it to the front of the card. On top of that, cut a piece of 4 ½” x 6 ½” piece of patterned paper, but lay it aside for just a minute until you complete the next step.
Now add the piece of patterned paper from the previous step to the card base.
Attach the butterfly using a glue pen.
Create several cards to keep on hand. Use different colors and papers for more great looks. Quickly stamp a sentiment into the card and you’re ready to go with a great card for those last minute occasions.
