Now that Thanksgiving has come and past, it is time to Christmasify the house. The hubs and I have been busy decking the halls, we have the lights up outside, the tree up inside, and the stockings are hung by the fire. Sadly our table was feeling left out. This cute Christmas Pom Pom Tree will make the perfect centerpiece.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:
- Styrofoam Cone
- Pom Poms
- Aleene’s Tacky Glue
- Wooden Candle Stick
- Paint Brush
- and an Ornament or Star for the top
- A little bit (okay, maybe a few hours) of time. But the results make it worth it.
Start by gluing pom poms to your Styrofoam Cone. I am not going to lie, this is the part that will take a little time.
Glue your Ornament or Star to the top of your tree. To use an Ornament, I took off the metal top, and then hollowed out part of the point of the tree a little so that the top of the ornament could fit down in it a little.
Next I filled the top of the tree by gluing a few extra Pom Poms around the ornament.
Paint the Candle Stick to match your tree, and wait for it to dry.
Finally, glue your Candle Stick to the bottom of your tree, let dry, and the display!
