I’m a big fan of filling up the space around me. I tend to hang up too many things on my wall, assuming all space is a good place to add decor. The newest craft trend in wall hangings is 3D wall art which adds both decoration and dimension to an otherwise plain space. These are a few favorites I’ve found.
Upcycle T-shirt Hoop Art – Think Crafts
This is another perfect excuse to upcycle an old t-shirt. Especially for a t-shirt that you love for the design that you may have grown out of or is too big. I love the look of the two embroidery hoops next to each other adding even more dimension and design to this piece.
Paper Dahlia – Stars & Sunshine
For a new twist on the wreath, try this paper dahlia. The colors really pop in this wall art and the added bit of dimension makes it even more interesting. The tutorial makes the craft look easy and the result makes it worth the time.
DIY: wall paper decoration – tête d’ange
This Geometric wall hanging is simple and interesting. Create whatever design you want with your choice of colors to personalize the wall hanging for your needs.
Miniature Mounted Menagerie – The Haps
This adorable wall hanging will be inexpensive, using cheap plastic toys and spray paint. Use your favorite animals or your friend’s favorite for a personalized gift. Don’t be afraid to play with colors and arrangements. This wall hanging will look good either way.
Create a Large Statement Piece – A Beautiful Mess
This is a great filler piece which will draw the eye without being overbearing. It’s also a great tutorial for people who have tried macrame and want something a little more challenging. The copper pipe adds a nice bit of color to the piece but the simple black and white look great against the white wall.
