I really like this project. It’s great to make with the kids. Have them choose a favorite picture, get a copy made of it, because it will be cut. Then have them make it into a simple stick puzzle. This is a toy that can be taken along on trips or played with in the car. It’s small enough to fit in any handbag, so it can always be a time buster in long waits.
Start by selecting enough craft sticks so the picture is covering all the seams. A regular 4 x 6 picture will take 9 jumbo craft sticks. Next tape them together so they do not move.
Flip over the craft sticks and apply a coat of mod podge to the back of the picture. Place the picture on the craft sticks and press firmly. Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge ove the entire piece, making sure to cover the edges of the picture well. Let it dry over night.
Flip the whole thing over and using a craft knife, slice the craft stick apart. Now you have a stick puzzle for the kids to play with!
