This ribbon dancer is both fun and safe. My daughter loves to twirl while the ribbons spin around her. When these are usually made they are on sticks, and it’s never a good idea to run or twirl with sticks. I used a wooden ring which work great for little hands to hold and are safe for play.
I left the wooden ring natural, but it can be painted or a wood wax can be applied. Next, fold the ribbon in half. Place the loop end over the wooden ring and pull the loose ends of the ribbons through the loop. This secures the ribbon tight to the wooden ring.
This is a simple and fun project that will provide hours of fun all summer long.
