Modern Clock Refresh - Brave New Home

Since moving into our new home, my overall design style has shifted to be more modern and bright.  We can’t always afford to throw out and replace all the items that no longer fit our design aesthetic (at least not right away) so I’ve been trying to refresh pieces whenever possible.

For this project, I took a clock with clean lines and looked at ways I could refresh it and make it even more modern looking.  I started by disassembling the clock.  After I removed the glass, I taped the hands up and gave the faceplate and clock rim a few coats of white spray paint.

Then using craft paint I painted the hour and minute hands a dark grey and the second hand an orange red.  The new look fades nicely into white walls and is right within the type of look I am going for!
