Step up your back to school wardrobe with this cool leather and chain bracelet. It looks great with all kinds of outfits and is simple to make. It is a simple wrap no braiding, twisting or special knots!
Start by measuring your wrist. Cut a length of chain the same as your wrist measurement plus half an inch. Cut a length of leather cord that is twice the length of your wrist measurement. Next, thread one end of the leather cord into the first link. Bring the chain into the center of the leather cord and fold the leather in half. Now there are 3 “strings” to work with, 2 leather and one chain.
Hold one of the leather strings next to the chain. It remains there the whole time, the other piece of leather is the working string, the one that wraps around the chain and leather.
Follow the pictures, take the working strip of leather, insert the end into the chain link through the front and out the back. Wrap it around the side of the chain and strip of leather and repeat the insert in to the chain link below. Continue this until you reach the end and tie the leather ends together and cut any excess off.
Place a lobster clasp at one end and a jump ring at the other.
