Having MG means I need “go-to” meals all the time — so my crock pot is my friend! Love a Boston Butt that’s cooked all day with cool potato salad and simple veggies.

When it’s too hot to cook, we order pizza and split a nice, fresh, tasty salad. Awesome!! If eaten by the pool, it is extra good!

Fortunately for me, my husband always cooks! So my go to meal is whatever he makes!

My 6-yr old would LOVE this prize!

I like to use my Foreman to cook a hamburg when it is to hot to cook any other way. It is fast and doesn’t heat up the kitchen to much. Then we have some raw veggies on the side.

Taco salad is my go-to meal. I can fry hamburger up ahead for taco meat and slap it all together in a snap. Cool!!

We make something called sizzling salad – the sizzling part is grilled chicken, shrimp or steak. We toss romaine, ranch dressing, summer squash and sometimes other vegetables together and top with the meat.

Smoked Mackerel salad on toast – using tinned mackerel, spinach leaves, cucumber and olives

Ours is cold tuna macaroni salad with onion, celery, peas, cheese and miracle whip. I like to use fancy shaped pasta for something different. Or today my best friend and I had a croissant sandwich made with cucumber, broccoli sprout and cream cheese! YUM YUM to both!! Great summer meals!

During summer, especially when it’s so hot outside I love to have a big bowl of fresh, local fruit! Since our kitchen is usually 80 degrees in the summer from lack of circulation of cool air I hate to cook! A nice heaping bowl of cold peaches, watermelon and blueberries always keeps me happy!
