A collection of old buttons can be used to make adorable handmade cards. My button collection is full of little white buttons, so to spice them up I used nail polish to create more colors from these two card ideas.

Supplies:

First paint the buttons with nail polish in a bunch of colors to make the ornament card.If you have colored buttons skip this step.

Cut a piece of cardstock in half, then fold each in half to create a 4.25″ x 5.5″ card. Next apply the glue dot to the back of the button and stick to the card randomly.

Using the fine tip black pen draw straight lines from the button to the top of the card to make the buttons look like they are ornaments. I also added a fast drawn cartoon-y bow to each. At the bottom, add the text, I wrote Merry Christmas in my normal handwriting.

Another idea is to use the buttons as the center of snowflakes. Again, just using a fine tip black pen draw lines from the button making each button a snow flake.
