A wreath hung on the front door can be a welcome sight to guests, or perhaps an unwelcome sight! This wreath has been made out of a pre-made grapevine wreath I picked up along the way. The vines themselves are a little creepy and with a little help from our eight legged friends this will be a wreath that will surely cause a scare.
Take the grapevine wreath and give it a coat of black spray paint, I used flat black. Wait until dry, check to make sure the entire wreath is covered in black. Then take the black yarn or string and tie it around the wreath.
Next take the yarn across the wreath in the front, then around to the back and across the back. Continue until the center of the wreath looks like a wheel with spokes.
Next, tie the yarn to the center. Start to weave that length of yarn over, under, over, under in a circle. This is creating the center of the web. It doesn’t have to be tight or even. Continue weaving until desired effect is created, tie the end off and trim.
The last step is to hot glue the spiders into place. When the glue is cool and dry, the wreath is ready to hang.
