Jack O Lantern Gift Box

Since my daughter is in Kindergarten this year, we get to make all the kids in her class special treats for Halloween. But I did not want to leave her teacher out, and I am sure her teacher will not appreciate the treats we were planning on for the kids.
So I thought we could make this cute gift box and put a nice pumpkin spice candle in it for her. I am sure she will be surprised to get a special gift just for herself and the fact that my daughter made it makes it special. However the great thing about this Halloween gift box is that you can put anything you want into it, so if you are making cookies they would fit perfect in this box, or some yummy candies. I just love projects that can fit so many different ideas!
Supplies
- Small Round Paper Mache Box
- Cork
- Green Pipe Cleaner
- Orange Paint
- Black Paint
- Brown Paint
- Paint brushes
- Glue
Directions
Start by painting your box and lid orange, you will probably need a 2nd coat on this one.
While you are waiting for the first coat of paint to dry paint your cork brown.
Once the paint is dry draw a jack o lantern face on to your box, make sure you put the lid on before you draw it so the lid does not cover your eyes!
When you have the face looking like you want; paint in the face with your black paint.
While we are waiting for the black paint to dry you can glue your cork to the lid of your box.
Curl your pipe cleaner on your finger then wrap it around the base of your cork and glue it on the box lid.
Now just put a special treat in the box and give it to someone special!
