You likely have a ton of magazines and books at your home, some of which you probably just want to get rid of. Instead of tossing them in the trash, get some use of them! Turn them into beautiful tags that are useful for any gifts you give. These rose tags are an example of turning trash into treasure and all it takes is a bit of time and effort.
What you’ll need:
Step 1. Choose a photo from a magazine or book that you want to use for your tag.
Step 2. Using Mod Podge, attach the image to a blank tag. Smooth it down, especially around the edges, to eliminate air bubbles and ensure it sticks down.
Step 3. Carefully cut off the excess paper around the edges.
Step 4. When it dries, put a thin layer of glitter glue over the top of the image. Avoid putting on too much or it will cause the thin paper to bubble up.
Step 5. When it’s mostly dry, hold it in the light to check that you didn’t miss any spots with the glitter.
Step 6. Once the glue dries, punch a hole in the top center of the tag.
Step 7. Weave a matching ribbon through the hole.
